How will this characteristic help you to be a successful student in your program of study?
Throughout my own reading of Lake and von Baeyer's article, " Tips for Powerful Students” I discovered many related characteristics between your successful student and me personally. In order to reach your total potential being a successful pupil you must possess portions of each of these qualities. One can not merely be goal-oriented without being lively in participation. You must mixture both in in an attempt to reach all those goals. This article states, " Talking about anything, with friends or classmates, is not only good for checking if you know some thing, it's a verified learning instrument. ” (Lake, A. & von Baeyer, C., june 2006. ) This is certainly my best characteristic. Over the internet that I actively read and study every materials over a consistent basis, but right up until I take a seat with my own fellow learners to discuss that material, I actually don't feel I have truly absorbed the data. However , through these interactions of distributed knowledge the subject is divided and better understood by all active in the conversation which in turn benefits most members. Additionally , this reinforces retention in the subject. (Lake, A. & von Baeyer, C., 2006. ) Since my educational career moves along I will incorporate the " attitudes and behaviors” of " The " A" Student - An Outstanding Student” (Lake, A. & vonseiten Baeyer, C., 2005. ) to effectively reach my goal of getting my Professionals of Science in Nursing.
